Using the Site
This guide is offered to help you get the most out of your time here. We hope it helps you find what you’re looking for.
The ten most recent posts are found on the home page. Clicking on the title of the post activates a list of related posts (if any) that are shown in the upper right sidebar. If there are no related posts, that fact will be noted. Clicking on a related post takes you to the post in the same window.
Categories that have posts assigned are shown on the left sidebar. Numbers indicate how many posts are assigned to a category. Mousing over the category title provides a description of the category. Clicking on a category provides abbreviated versions of all posts assigned that category, shown ten posts at a time.
Archives are shown by month and year and are listed beneath categories on the left sidebar.
Within any article, you may click on the category or tags shown at the bottom. This will take you to a listing of all articles assigned to the category or tag, again, ten posts at a time. If you click on “self reliance” as a tag, it will present you with every post on the site since all of our posts are related to self reliance in one way or another.
The six most recent posts and the six most recent comments are shown on the right sidebar, just under the related posts.
Within each post there may appear links in blue text. These are in-context links that will take you to other posts on the Self Reliance Exchange, or they may take you to external references or resources that the author believes will be helpful to the reader. Links to posts within the site will open in the same window. Links to external references and resources will open up in a new window.
Sites operated by our regular contributors are listed on the right sidebar beneath recent comments. Recommended sites and other useful resources are listed beneath contributor sites.
