Without Motivation, You Would Get Nothing Done

MotivationYou may not realize it but motivation is the reason why you get anything done at all.  No matter what you do, you have to have some form of motivation to do it.  You are motivated to go to work, because if you don’t, no paycheck for you right?  It’s no different with anything else.  Every decision we make—we make because we are either are or are not motivated to do so.  Without motivation, you would get nothing done.

The best way to become motivated about something is to realize its importance.  If we think something is important—we do it, whether we want to or not, because we know that if we do not—the consequences of not doing so could be catastrophic to our future.

If you don’t do what you know you should what would happen?

If you do not save for retirement, will you be able to retire with dignity?  If you do not save for a rainy day, will you be in a position to handle an emergency without going into debt?  You can only realize the importance of something by examining the cause and effect of your decisions.

Sometimes we use good old fashioned common sense—while other times we have to educate ourselves about something to realize why we should or should not do it.

I will be doing two things in regard to motivating you at the Self-Reliance Exchange.

  • I will be showing you why you should be motivated to make different decisions.
  • I will be in your face to inspire and motivate you to stick with those decisions.

By staying motivated you can accomplish more in less time.  It would probably be hard for you to argue that point.  I know that when I am motivated I am more likely to get whatever it is done.  You’re no different.

Sometimes there are events that throw us off course though.  Even the most motivated individual can fall off the wagon.  For me, eliminating our debt had its ups and downs.  There were times we marched forward with unstoppable intensity—and at other times, we felt defeated, burnt out, and beat up.  It’s only normal because nothing ever goes perfectly 100% of the time.

With that said, I will also be addressing some things that we often face that can work against us.  Some of which include:

  • procrastination
  • depression
  • high stress levels
  • denial
  • attitude
  • behavior

You came to this site because you were motivated to become more self reliant.  I must say—I’m glad you did.
